Charles at the Tuscani festival summer 2010

Spirits will be staged twice in Teatro Signorelli on August 5^th (14.30 and 20.00).  A special limited seating gala post-concert reception will be held at one of the leading Tuscan wineries, Avignonesi, one of the partners of the 2010 Tuscan Sun Festival.  Proceeds from the concert and reception will be donated to the Rainforest Fund, the charity established by Sting and Trudie Styler over 20 years ago,  the Del Sole Foundation, and the Royal Opera House Education Fund.

 English star of stage and screen CHARLES DANCE will lend his legendary voice to narrate Twin Spiritsmaking his first appearance at the Tuscan Sun Festival.  In addition to these performances, Dance will also appear in the concert on August 1^st reading the Four Seasons Sonnets, the works which are said to have inspired Vivaldi’s most recognized piece.  As Dance weaves the sonnets throughout, young American violinist Chad Hoopes plays The Four Seasons, supported by the Sinfonici del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
